March 8, 2010/Marietta, GA – Last week Sam Olens was again named one of “Georgia&#8217;s Super Lawyers.”  Today, the campaign launches the Lawyers for Olens coalition with a dedicated website www.lawyersforolens.com whereby lawyers statewide can endorse the campaign by entering their name on the website.</p>
<p>Three former State Bar Chairs are spearheading Lawyers for Olens: Robert Ingram (State Bar Chair 2005-2006); Jimmy Franklin (State Bar Chair 2001-2002) and David Gambrell (State Bar Chair 1967-68). </p>
<p>&#8220;Sam Olens will be an effective and strong Attorney General for our state.  He is an experienced, tough litigator and proven leader and administrator—he will serve us well as the state&#8217;s top lawyer,&#8221; said Jimmy Franklin, Franklin, Taulbee, Rushing, Snipes &#038; Marsh, LLC, of Statesboro.</p>

<p>I am proud of the three key Georgia house committee chair endorsements: Wendell Willard of Sandy Springs, Chairman, Judiciary; Ron Stephens of Savannah, Chairman, Economic Development & Tourism; and long time Representative John Yates of Griffin, House Chairman, and Defense &#038; Veterans Affairs.</p>
<p>I am also extremely proud of today’s vote of confidence from three of our fine sheriffs: Bennie DeLoach, Sheriff of Appling County; Al St. Lawrence, Sheriff of Chatham County; and Gerald Lawson, Sheriff of Lincoln County. </p>
<p>I’m also pleased by the endorsements from John Fretti, Mayor of Valdosta and Ed Jeffords, Wayne County Chairman.</p>

<p>“Sam Olens is a proven, visionary public servant and is the clear front runner to be Georgia’s first Republican to be elected as Attorney General,” said Wendell Willard, Chairman, Judiciary and Vice Chairman, Rules. “His integrity is beyond reproach and he has the experience and the knowledge to be an effective AG beginning in January.”</p>
<p>Olens also received the endorsement of Representative Ron Stephens of Savannah, Chairman, Economic Development & Tourism; and long time Representative John Yates of Griffin, House Chair of Defense &#038; Veterans Affairs.</p>
<p>“John Yates’ life of service to our military and this state is an example to all of us. I am most humbled by his and the other endorsements,” said Olens.</p>
