Latest News > Campaign Reports Nearly $450,000 In 2009 Donations
Cobb County/January 8, 2010 – Sam Olens, Republican candidate for Attorney General, filed his year-end disclosure today reporting $447,566.00 raised from almost 1,000 donors. Cash on hand is $305,289.38.
“I am very humbled by the generosity of my supporters, especially in the challenging economic times we have experienced, said Olens.
“The amount I have been able to raise in the last half of this difficult year shows that my message of ethics reform and the need to elect an experienced, courageous leader to the office of Attorney General is resonating with Georgia voters.
“I am also very proud of the fact that we received contributions from nearly 1,000 hard working Georgians from Chickamauga to Columbus to Savannah. Our campaign has traveled to all four corners of the state in the last eight months, visiting almost every Georgia county. This disclosure is a result of the successful statewide campaign we have run thus far,” said Olens.
Olens announced his candidacy for Attorney General in April, and held his first fundraiser in June. On the July 31st report, Olens reported $186,509.
“With this year’s census and upcoming redistricting; and the prospective passage of national healthcare reform and the constitutional challenges that should ensue, it is more critical than ever before to have an AG at the helm of the state who has the experience to take a leadership role in these battles.
“Our campaign is energized and I hope to convince all Georgians that I am the candidate who is ready to lead,” added Olens.
